…we completely forgot about Groundhog Day. Who cares about Groundhog Day, right? Well, it just so happens that Tomas’s Birthday is on Groundhog Day – Feb. 2nd. Ooops.
We were somewhat adrenaline hung over from the SuperBowl the night before – neither of us are football watchers, but this was a big deal, it is our city’s team, and I wanted to watch it. We were both bellowing at the top of our lungs, and wound up going to bed very late.
The next day was e-mails to football friends about watching my first football game all the way through, and nothing could top that – I will forever be let down if I watch another game. This was the Spirit of de Grisogono Diamond of football games, in my book.
Consequently, almost the whole day slid by until we looked at each other and realized it was Tomas’s birthday! Gaa! some year I am going to get him a gift on the actual day, I swear.
Anyway, calls started coming in wishing him happy birthday, and his sister Jolene sent us these pictures – Tomas loves his nephews, but we have seen the amount of energy it takes wrangling those three, and all we can say is kudo’s to Ross and Jolene. Two cats and a crow is about all we can manage. But it is great to have access to both of his sisters kids. Keeps the spirit young, as long as we can go home and collapse.
Happy belated Birthday, T.
